Show Hall: North Augusta Activities Center, 100 Riverview Park Drive, North Augusta, South Carolina 29841-3593. The show hall is a non-smoking building, climate controled, and handicapped accessible.
Show Hotel: We will have no official "show hotel", but these are all near the show hall:
Red Roof Inn, Washington Road, (706) 737-1122 (formerly a Hampton, Exit #199).
LaQuinta, Washington Road, (706) 733-2660 (also Exit #199).
Red Roof Inn &
Suites/Augusta West, 4328 Belair Frontage Rd., (706) 228-3031
(located at GA exit #194).
There are no room blocks being held. These are also Big TICA partners so discounts may be available online. TICA's Hotel Room Inspection Procedures will be used at this show. Please confine spraying males and females to cages and leave your room clean!
Please make every effort to leave your room in the condition it was found, or better. Tipping housekeeping staff doesn't hurt - happy staff doesn't complain to management! Trash bags & litter will be available for your convenience. The condition of your room reflects on the entire cat fancy, and it only takes one mishap to lose a hotel forever.
Transportation: Closest airport is AGS, Augusta, Georgia. We may be able to arrange pick up for out of town exhibitors. Please contact Sallie Dubay, (803) 257-1903 for more information.
Show Hours: Exhibitor check-in will be from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM and judging will start promptly at 10:00 AM on Saturday and 9:00 AM Sunday. Advertised show hours for the Public will be 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM both days. All cats must remain in the show hall during advertised hours unless permission to leave is given by the Show Manager. No cats may be left in the show hall overnight.
Show Rules: TICA show rules will be strictly enforced. By entering, exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and show committee. Official show rules, registration information and forms may be obtained from TICA, P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551 (email email@example.com) or viewed on their website at www.tica.org.
Payment: By entering the show, you agree to pay all fees whether you attend or not. Entry fees are NOT refundable or transferable. We accept checks, money orders, bank cashiers checks, or PayPal. Registration: With the exception of cats competing in the Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New Breed, and New Traits classes, registration with TICA is not necessary to compete in the cat's first show. However, to be scored for TICA titles and Regional / International awards, all cats (other than household pet kittens) must be registered by their second show. Please contact TICA for registration forms and information (TICA, P. O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551).
Kittens: All kittens entered for competition must be at least four (4) and less than eight (8) calendar months old on the day of the show. No kitten under three (3) months of age will be allowed in the show hall (be prepared to show proof of age). Kittens may be spayed or neutered.
Household Pets: Household pets are very welcome at this show! Declawed Household Pets are OK at TICA shows. This is due to the number of HHPs that are rescue cats and may have already been declawed at the time of rescue. Household pets eight (8) months of age and older MUST be spayed or neutered. If you are not sure of the proper class or color of your cat, check out http://www.seregiontica.org/Colors/intro.htm or send the entry clerk a color photo of your entry. Photo will be returned at check in.
Health: This is a non-vetted show. Any cat showing signs of illness, parasites or fungus will be escorted from the show hall, along with any cats owned, housed or agented by the same exhibitor. All entries should be vaccinated against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calici and distemper (panleukopenia) at least two (2) weeks prior to the show, and should test negative for feline leukemia and FIV ("feline AIDS"). Any feline from a house or cattery where there has been fungus or any infectious or contagious illness within twenty-one (21) days prior to the opening day of the show is ineligible for entry. An obviously pregnant or lactating cat will be disqualified. TICA show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped prior to judging. Declawed cats are eligible for entry.
If you are staying at a hotel in the Augusta area, Georgia law requires any animal over the age of four (4) months to be vaccinated against rabies within the last twelve (12) months (be prepared to show proof). Regulations can be found here: http://agr.georgia.gov/00/article/0,2086,38902732_0_40630281,00.html
Benching: One adult or two kittens are allowed per single cage space. Each entry will be provided one cage space unless free space is included in the entry fee. A single cage space measures approximately 22" X 22" X 22". A double cage space measures 22 by 44 x 22 approximately. All cages must be covered on three sides. For the cats comfort we recommend that you provide a rug and a top cover. All cats and kittens in the show hall must have an assigned cage and no cats may be confined to carriers, either displayed or under cages during show hours. Any person disregarding this rule will be required to leave the show hall. If you are bringing your own cage, you must pay for an even number of single benching spaces.
For Sale: Sales cages will be available to exhibitors.
Grooming spaces: These measure approximately 22 inches x 22 inches x 44 inches.
Services: Cat litter will be provided, bring your own litter pans, cat food and dishes.
Lunch: : A fully catered lunch will be available at the show hall each day from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. Prepaid lunches only, $6.00 a day or $10.00 both days. Contact Terri Harris, email@example.com for tickets.
Clerks: TICA certified clerks will be paid $35.00 per day, lunch, and a marked catalog. Please indicate on the Summary Sheet if you are interested in serving as a Ring Clerk. Do not deduct clerking fees from your entry. Requests for specific judges will be honored to the extent possible.
Awards: Plaques will be awarded in accordance with TICA show rules.
