"We are family"

(Sister Sledge)
We are family. I got all my sisters with me.

We are family. Get up everybody and sing. Everyone can see we're
together as we walk on by. And we fly just like birds of a feather.
I'm not telling no lie. All of the people around us to say,
Can we be that close? Just let me state for the record.
We're giving love in a family dose, yeah. Living life is fun and
we've just begun to get our share of the world's delights.
High hopes we have for the future, and our goals in sight.
No we don't get depressed. Here's what we call our golden rule.
Have faith in you and the things you do. You won't go wrong, oh no.
This is our family Jewel, yeah!

Now that song is dancing in your head we need you to dance to the Southeast Fund Raiser..!!..
All profits will go to the Southeast Region Fund…

Printer Friendly Flyer (2 1/2 pages in PDF format, minimal graphics)

Show Hall: Holshauser Building, NC State Fairgrounds, 1025 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh, NC 27607. The show hall is heated. Parking is free. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on Fairgrounds property. A concession service will be available during show hours.
RV OVERNIGHT PARKING: The North Carolina State Fairgrounds allows RVs to stay on property for a fee. For information on RV access, see http://www.ncstatefair.org/facilities/rvaccess.htm or call (919) 612-6767 or (919) 821-7400.

Show Hotel: Holiday Inn, Crabtree Valley, 4100 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.

The hotel is located approximately 5 miles from the show hall and provides free shuttle service to and from the airport between 7:00 AM and 10:30 PM. The Holiday Inn has offered us a rate of $79 a night plus tax (single, double, triple, or quad). They have a full service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner and also a full service bar. Check-in time is 3:00 PM. Reservations must be made by calling (919) 782-8600 or 1-800-HOLIDAY. Mention the group name Kitt Flicks Productions when making reservations. Reservations must be made by February 3, 2012 to guarantee this special rate.

The hotel has waived all pet deposits, but you will be required to sign a release at check-in stating you will be responsible for any damages to the room caused by your cats. Please give a good impression of our TICA family by leaving your room as though no cats were ever in it. IMPORTANT: Only rooms booked in the block will have the pet fee waived. If you book outside the block or through some other service to obtain a different rate, you will be charged any pet deposits ($25.00) in effect at the hotel at the time.

Please be sure to confine spraying males (and females!) and clean up after yourself and your cats so we will be welcome here again. CATS MUST BE CONFINED WHEN UNATTENDED IN ROOM. The SER Fund Raiser team has elected to follow the TICA Hotel Inspection Procedures for exhibitors who lodge at the show hotel. Entry in this show, and lodging at the show hotel, shall constitute an acknowledgment by and consent of the exhibitor to these procedures.

Please make every effort to leave your room in the condition it was found, or better. Tipping housekeeping staff doesn't hurt - happy housekeeping staff don't complain to management! Trash bags (& litter) will be available for your convenience. If you have a problem you can't take care of yourself, please let show management know and we will do whatever we can to help. The condition of your room reflects on the entire cat fancy, and it only takes one mishap to lose a hotel (even a whole chain) forever.

Accessibility: The Holshauser Building and Holiday Inn meet ADA accessibility guidelines for ramps and wheelchair accessible facilities.

Transportation: Raleigh/Durham International Airport (RDU) is the most accessible airport. The airport is approximately 5 miles from the show hotel and approximately 12 miles from the show hall. RDU is serviced by most major airlines including American, United, Delta, US Air, Continental, AirTran, Southwest, Air Canada and Jet Blue. Located in the heart of North Carolina, Raleigh, NC is also easily accessible from I-95, I-85 or I-40.

IMPORTANT: See the show hotel information for the hours the free shuttle runs to and from the airport. No free transportation is available to or from the showhall. The hotel is contracted to provide transportation for our judges. Exhibitors trying to "catch a ride" with the judges' shuttle can affect our judges getting to the show on time which can affect the show schedule for everyone. If you are flying to the show, we strongly suggest arranging carpooling with other exhibitors or obtaining a rental car. Taxi service is also available.

Show Hours: Check-in is 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM Saturday. Check-in Sunday is 8:00 - 8:30 AM. Judging will start at 9:00 AM Saturday and Sunday. Show hours are 9 AM to 5 PM Saturday and 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday. In consideration of our paying spectators, no cat will be allowed to leave the show hall without the permission of the show management. No cats may remain in show hall overnight. Smoking is not allowed in the show hall.

Show Rules: TICA show rules will be strictly enforced. By entering, exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and show committee. Household Pets: HHP adults (8 months and older) must be spayed/neutered. HHP adults are judged in 10 color/pattern divisions. If you are not sure of the proper class or color of your cat, check out http://www.seregiontica.org/Colors/intro.htm or please send a color photo with your entry and a description of the hair length on the tail. Measure if necessary. Your picture will be returned at check-in. You will also have an opportunity Saturday morning to have the senior judge make a final determination if the color/pattern are still in question.

Registration: With the exception of cats competing in the Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New Breed, and New Traits classes, registration with TICA is not required to compete. However, to be scored for TICA titles and annual awards, cats must be registered before their second show.

Cats showing signs of ear mites, fleas, fungus, or other illness will be escorted from the show hall, along with any other cats owned, housed, or agented by the same exhibitor. All entries should be immunized against feline rhinotracheitis, calici virus, and panleukopenia, and should test negative for feline leukemia and feline AIDS. Any feline from a house or cattery where there has been fungus or any infectious or contagious illness within twenty-one days prior to the opening day of the show is ineligible for entry. An obviously pregnant or lactating cat will be disqualified. TICA show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped prior to judging. Declawed cats are eligible for entry.

Benching & Supplies: Only one benching request will be honored. Agent request take priority over benching request. Clerks will be benched first. Each entry will be provided a single benching cage measuring 22"L x 22"W x 22"H and are provided with each entry. Full cage size is 44"L x 22"W x 22"H. You may pay extra with a single entry to have the full (double) cage for your cat. TICA rules allow no more than two kittens or one cat benched in a single cage. No kitten under 3 months of age will be allowed in the show hall (be prepared to show proof of age), and no kittens or cats may be confined to carriers during show hours. All cages must be covered on the sides and top. You may want to bring a rug, blanket, etc., for the bottom of the cage and other items to make your cat feel more comfortable. You will need to bring litter pan(s), food bowls, and food. Litter will be provided.

Grooming spaces: These measure approximately 22" W x 44"L.

For Sale / Exhibition Cages: Sales/exhibition cages will be available ONLY to exhibitors with other cats entered for competition.

Clerks & Stewards: Ring Clerks will be paid $30 plus a fully marked catalog and a lunch voucher. Stewards will receive $20 per ring per day and a lunch voucher. Please check the summary sheet if you are interested or email Laurie Patton (PiratesLairMC@aol.com). Do not deduct clerking fees from your entry. (It really messes up the bookkeeping.). Currently licensed TICA clerks will be given preference. Trainees and assistants are always welcome. Clerks and trainees will be given preferential benching if we know in advance that you will be clerking!

Awards: Rosettes will be awarded in accordance with TICA show rules. Donations to our rosette fund are greatly appreciated! If you wish to sponsor any special awards, please contact the show manager.

Show Theme: Our show theme is "We Are Family". The best cage exemplifying the show theme will be recognized with a special award.

Sponsorships: $50.00 ring sponsorships! Best Cage Awards - $25.00, Clerk sponsors, Steward sponsors. We have plenty of things that need to be donated. If you have anything let us know!

Liability: Kitt Flicks Productions, Inc., TICA, the Holiday Inn, and the North Carolina State Fairgrounds will not be held liable for injury, loss, or damage to cats, exhibitors, or property of exhibitors or vendors, or other such persons or property attending.

For the comfort of our exhibitors and spectators, the show hall is designated as non-smoking. Children are always welcome at our shows, but for the enjoyment of all, we request that youngsters be supervised at all times.
