The show hall is climate controlled, wheelchair accessible and is a non smoking facility. Breakfast and lunch will be available in the show hall, homemade breakfast sandwiches better than McDs, so dont stop on the way over, eat breakfast and lunch at the hall no need to leave the show hall. Show Hotel: Days Inn 3910 Ulmerton Road, Clearwater, FL 33762, 3 miles 5 mins from show hall, (727) 573-3334. Please mention Cat Show rate. Room rate is $49 includes Daybreak Breakfast. Shuttle provided to and from Tampa (TPA) or St. Pete/Clearwater (PIE) airports. Hotel reservations MUST BE MADE BY April 10, 2010. Rooms booked online will be charge pet fee and will not be able to get this great rate. Remember support your show hotel and help club by using the Show Hotel, Thank You very much! You must say you are with the Cat Show, Skyway Cat Club to get this rate. Please be sure to confine spraying males (and females) and clean up after yourself and your cats so we will be welcome here again. Skyway Cat Club has elected to use the TICA Hotel Guidelines for exhibitors who lodge at Days Inn using the club's group booking. Entry in this show, and lodging at Days Inn using the club's group booking, shall constitute an acknowledgment by and consent of the exhibitor to these procedures. Please make every effort to leave your room in the condition it was found, or better. Tipping housekeeping staff does not hurt. A happy housekeeping staff does not complain to management! Trash bags and litter will be available for your convenience. If you have a problem you cannot take care of yourself, please let show management know and we will do whatever we can to help. The condition of your room reflects on the entire cat fancy, and it only takes one mishap to lose a hotel. Transportation: Tampa International Airport (TPA) or the St. Petersburg/Clearwater (PIE) Airport. If you are flying in, use the Days Inn, they will provide a shuttle to and from both airports, but not before 7:30 AM or after 9:30 PM. You must call Days Inn (727) 573-3334 when you arrive and have luggage in hand when asking for the hotel shuttle. There is also Super Shuttle and is reasonably priced (727) 572-1111. Limos, taxis and car rentals are available at the airport. The show hall is about a 15-20 minute drive to the airport, so please leave plenty of time for your departing flight (we recommend flights leaving 6:00 PM or later). The show hall is approximately 5 -10 min from the hotel, 3 miles. ONLY exhibitors staying at the Days Inn can ride the Days Inn van, please provide a name and ID to the driver, using the van illegally will cause the Club to lose the Shuttle Services. Hours: Check-in will be from 7:30 to 8:30 AM Saturday. Judging
will begin promptly at 9:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday. Advertised
show hours will be 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Saturday, 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM Sunday. Please plan to remain in the show hall during advertised
show hours. Spectators will be coming in until 3 PM. SE meeting
at 8:45 AM. Also be aware of Show Rule 212.7 All cats shall be presented
for final awards during advertised show hours, unless special permission
to leave has been granted by the Show Manager. Show Rules: TICA show rules will be strictly enforced. By entering, exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and show committee. Official show rules, registration information and forms may be obtained from TICA, P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551 or viewed on their website at www.tica.org. Payment: By entering the show, you agree to pay all fees whether you attend the show or not. Fees must be received no later than the closing date of April 11, 2010. There will be an extra charge of $20 to pay at the door, NO CASH AT DOOR, MONEY ORDERS OR CHECKS PAYABLE TO SKYWAY CAT CLUB ACCEPTED, PayPal payment only to: Skywaycatclub@tampabay.rr.com No other PayPal will be acknowledged. Entries belonging to exhibitors on TICAs Temporary or Permanent Suspension lists will not be accepted. Skyway Cat Club will pursue any debt owed us to the extent of TICA show rules and Florida law. ATM is available at show hall. Registration: With the exception of cats competing in the Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New Breed, and New Traits classes, registration with TICA is not required to compete. However, to be scored for TICA titles and regional / International awards, all cats must be registered by their second show. Health: This is a nonvetted show. Any cat showing signs of illness, parasites or fungus will be escorted from the show hall, along with any cats owned, housed or augmented by the same exhibitor. All entries should be vaccinated against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calici and distemper (panleukopenia) at least two weeks prior to the show, and should test negative for feline leukemia and FIV (feline AIDS). Florida law requires any animal over the age of 4 months be vaccinated against rabies within the last 12 months (be prepared to show proof)! TICA show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped prior to judging. Benching: By exhibitor. One adult or two kittens are allowed per single cage space. A single cage space measures 22 inches x22 inches x 22 inches. A double cage space (extra half cage) measures 22 inches x 44 inches x 22 inches. All cages must be covered on three sides. For the cat's comfort, we recommend that you provide a rug and a top cover as well. All cats and kittens present in the show hall must have an assigned cage. Vending from the benching area is prohibited. Special benching requests will be honored to the best of our ability. We must know who will be providing their own cages, please make sure we know as putting up cages unnecessarily and having to take cages out of the trailer for nothing is not fun. You may be charged a service fee. Show set up not exhibitor set up is 7 PM Friday afternoon please do not expect to set up your personal cages, you may do so after the show set up is completed and then you have the opportunity of setting up your stuff, time could be around 8:30 PM when benching is completed by the entry clerk. Vendors will be setting up as well and need the traffic areas open. Hall will close no later than 9 PM. If you come at set up time, please lend a helping hand, your help is greatly appreciated. Also, watch the TICA lists for show updates. If you are not on the TICA lists it is advisable to join the lists for updates to the location and dates and show availability and for set up times and allowance into the show hall. Grooming spaces: These measure 22 inches x 22 inches x 44 inches. Space is limited!! First come first served. For Sale: Sales cages will be available to exhibitors only. TICA rules allow no more than two kittens or one cat benched in a single cage. No kitten under 3 months of age will be allowed in the showhall (be prepared to show proof of age). NO KITTENS OR CATS MAY BE CONFINED TO CARRIERS, EITHER DISPLAYED OR UNDER CAGES, DURING SHOW HOURS. Any person disregarding these rules will be asked to leave the show. Florida requires health certificates accompany any animal sold in the state. If you are bringing cats or kittens to sell, Skyway Cat Club strongly advises you familiarize yourself with the applicable statutes and takes no responsibility for your failure to do so. Only exhibitors entered in the show may sell kittens and the kittens offered for sale must be owned by same paid exhibitor. Health Certificates will be checked for correct owner information and for each and every kitten-cat for sale. Kittens: All kittens entered for competition must be at least four (4) and not more than eight (8) calendar months old on the day of the show. Kittens may be spayed or neutered. Household Pets: Household pets are very welcome at this show! Declawed Household Pets are OK at TICA shows. This is due to the number of HHPs that are rescue cats and may have already been declawed at the time of rescue. Household pets over 8 months of age MUST be spayed or neutered. If you are unsure of your cats color and division, please contact the entry clerk for help or send a color photo of your entry. Photo will be returned at check in. Supplies: Cat litter will be available, but please bring your own litter pan and food and water dishes! Clerks: Are indispensable! Ring clerks will be compensated $60 for two days, $30 for one day, plus lunch, and a marked catalog, not to mention our undying gratitude. Requests for specific judges will be honored to the extent possible on a first come, first served basis and are subject to change. Currently licensed TICA clerks will be given preference. Trainees and assistants are always welcome. Clerks and trainees will be given preferential benching if we know in advance that you will be clerking! Stewards: Girl Scouts are hired to steward for this show, but in case of emergency please let us know if you have a steward available.
