Registration: Registration: To show a cat in a TICA show, your cat might need to be TICA registered or eligible for registration in TICA. All cats shown in the following classes must be TICA registered to be entered in a show: Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New Breed, and New Traits. All cats shown in the Kitten, Championship, and Alter classes must be TICA registered or eligible for registration. If not registered, proof of registration eligibility is required to enter the show. Contact the entry clerk for more information on how to enter your cat, kitten, or alter without at TICA registration number. Household Pets and Household Pet Kittens do not need to be TICA registered to compete. However, to be scored for TICA titles and regional / International awards, all cats (other than household pet kittens) must be registered by their second show. Please contact TICA for registration forms and information (TICA, P. O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551).

Health: This is a non-vetted show. Any cat showing signs of illness, parasites or fungus will be escorted from the show hall, along with any cats owned, housed or agented by the same exhibitor. All entries should be vaccinated against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calici and distemper (panleukopenia) at least two (2) weeks prior to the show, and should test negative for feline leukemia and FIV ("feline AIDS"). Any feline from a house or cattery where there has been fungus or any infectious or contagious illness within twenty-one (21) days prior to the opening day of the show is ineligible for entry. An obviously pregnant or lactating cat will be disqualified. TICA show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped prior to judging. All entries should also have a current rabies vaccination. Georgia law requires any animal over the age of four (4) months to be vaccinated against rabies within the last twelve (12) months (be prepared to show proof). Regulations can be found here: http://agr.georgia.gov/00/article/0.2086.38902732_0_40630281.00.html

Grooming spaces: These measure approximately 22 inches x 22 inches x 44 inches. Due to the small size of the venue, grooming spaces will be assigned according to a waiting list after the show has closed, and will be available only as space allows.

For Sale: Due to the small size of the venue, sales cages will not be offered to exhibitors until after the show has closed, and will be available only as space allows. If you are bringing cats or kittens to sell, Southern SophisTICAts strongly advises you familiarize yourself with the applicable statutes and takes no responsibility for your failure to do so. Regulations can be found here: http://agr.georgia.gov/00/article/0.2086.38902732_0_40630281.00.html

Kittens: All kittens entered for competition must be at least four (4) and less than eight (8) calendar months old on the day of the show. No kitten under three (3) months of age will be allowed in the show hall (be prepared to show proof of age). Kittens may be spayed or neutered.

Household Pets: Household pets are very welcome at this show! Declawed Household Pets are OK at TICA shows. This is due to the number of HHPs that are rescue cats and may have already been declawed at the time of rescue. Household pets eight (8) months of age and older MUST be spayed or neutered. If you are not sure of the proper division or color of your cat, check out http://www.seregiontica.org/Colors/intro.htm or send the entry clerk a color photo of your entry. Photo will be returned at check in.

Supplies: Cat litter will be available, but please bring your own litter pan and food and water dishes!

Benching: Each entry will be assigned a single cage, approx. 22" X 22" X 22". The two sides, back, and top must be covered. For the comfort of your cat(s), please bring something for the bottom of the cage too! TICA rules allow no more than two kittens or one cat benched in a single cage. NO KITTENS OR CATS MAY BE CONFINED TO CARRIERS, EITHER DISPLAYED OR UNDER CAGES, DURING SHOW HOURS. Any person disregarding these rules will be asked to leave the show. Odd numbered entries MUST purchase extra ½ cage (unless the entry fee specifically covers an extra half cage).

Clerks: Are indispensable! Ring clerks will be reimbursed $40 per session clerked, plus lunch, soft drinks, and a marked catalog, not to mention our undying gratitude! Requests for specific judges will be honored to the extent possible on a first come, first served basis and are subject to change. Currently licensed TICA clerks will be given preference. Trainees and assistants are always welcome. Clerks and trainees will be given preferential benching if we know in advance that you will be clerking!

Awards: Plaques will be awarded in accordance with TICA show rules. If you wish to sponsor any special awards, please contact the show manager.

Ring Sponsorships: All ring sponsorships are $50.
