Registration:
With the exception of cats competing in the Preliminary New
Breed, Advanced New Breed, and New Traits classes, registration
with TICA is not necessary to compete in the cat's first show.
However, to be scored for TICA titles and regional / International
awards, all cats must be registered by their second show. Please
contact TICA for registration forms and information (TICA,
P. O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551).
Show
Rules: TICA show rules will be strictly enforced. By entering,
exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and
show committee. Official show rules, registration information
& forms may be obtained from TICA,
P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551 or viewed on their website
at www.tica.org.
Payment:
By entering the show, you agree to pay all fees whether you
attend the show or not. Entry fees are NOT refundable or transferrable.
Fees must be received no later than the closing date of 4/24/2012.
The club reserves the right to require payment in cash or money
order. Payment at door must be in cash only and only if approved
by entry clerk.
Benching:
Each entry will be assigned a single cage, approx. 24"
X 26" X 24". The two sides, back, and top of the cage
must be covered. For the comfort of your cat(s), please bring
something for the bottom of the cage too!
Grooming
spaces: These measure 22 inches x 22 inches x 44 inches.
Services:
Litter will be available. Please bring your own litter pans,
cat food, and bowls. There will be people food available in
the show hall.
Health:
This is a non-vetted show. Cats showing signs of ear mites,
fleas, fungus, or other illness will be escorted from along
with any other cats owned, housed, or agented by the same exhibitor.
All entries should be immunized against feline rhinotracheitis,
calici virus, and panleukopenia, and should test negative for
feline leukemia and feline AIDS. Any feline from a house or
cattery where there has been fungus or any infectious or contagious
illness within twenty-one days prior to the opening day of the
show is ineligible for entry. An obviously pregnant or lactating
cat will be disqualified. TICA show rules require all claws,
front and back, be clipped prior to judging.
Kittens:
All kittens entered for competition must be at least four (4)
and not more than eight (8) calendar months old on the day of
the show. Kittens may be spayed or neutered.
Household
Pets: Household pets are very welcome at this show! Declawed
Household Pets are OK at TICA shows. This is due to the number
of HHPs that are rescue cats and may have already been declawed
at the time of rescue. Household pets over 8 months of age MUST
be spayed or neutered. If you are not sure of the proper class
or color of your cat, check out http://www.seregiontica.org/Colors/intro.htm
or send the entry clerk a color photo of your entry. Photo will
be returned at check in.
Clerks/Stewards:
If you are interested in clerking, please indicate so on the
summary sheet, along with any judge preference. TICA licensed
clerks will be given preference and judge requests will be honored
to the best of our ability. TICA certified clerks will be compensated
$25 per session plus lunch. You will be compensated at the end
of the show on the day you clerk. Stewards are also needed.
They will be paid $15 per day plus lunch. Please let us know
on the summary sheet if you have someone available.
Awards:
Rosettes will be awarded in accordance with TICA Show Rules.
This show is scored for TICA Regional and International awards.
Liability:
Volunteer Cat Club, TICA, the Signal Mountain Community Cente,
or La Quinta Chattanooga downtown will not be held liable for
injury, loss or damage to cats, exhibitors, property of exhibitors,
vendors, or other such persons or property in attendance.
