The TICA Southeast Region helps make everything we do possible—from hosting cat shows and supporting exhibitors to running programs like the Junior Exhibitor initiative. Our dedicated committee and club members volunteer their time and talents for celebrating our feline-loving community.

Here are some ways you can make a difference!
For Pet Cats (Yours or Others')

Spay/Neuter – Prevents overpopulation and improves health.

Regular Vet Visits – Ensure vaccinations, dental care, and early illness detection.

Healthy Diet – Feed age-appropriate, high-quality food.

Enrichment – Toys, climbing structures, and interactive play keep cats mentally and physically stimulated.

Microchipping – Helps lost cats return home safely.

Safe Environment – Keep them indoors or create safe outdoor enclosures.
For Stray & Feral Cats

TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) – Humanely trap, sterilize, and return them to their area to stop the breeding cycle.

Feeding Stations – Provide clean food and water consistently.

Shelter – Set up insulated shelters in cold or wet areas.
-
Monitoring Health – Watch for injuries or illnesses and involve a local rescue if needed.

Respect Their Space – Feral cats often don’t want direct human contact, but they still need support.
For Shelter & Rescue Cats

Adopt – Provide a loving, permanent home.

Foster – Temporarily care for cats while they wait for adoption.

Donate – Money, food, toys, litter, blankets, and cleaning supplies are always needed.

Volunteer – Help with feeding, cleaning, socializing cats, or administrative tasks.

Advocate – Share adoptable cats on social media, attend adoption events, or raise awareness.
General Ways to Help

Educate Others – Spread knowledge about responsible pet ownership and TNR.

Support Local Laws – Advocate for animal-friendly policies and spay/neuter funding.

Build a Catio – Promote safe outdoor access.

Create a Wildlife-Friendly Yard – Discourage cats from hunting local wildlife by keeping them indoors or using deterrents.

Report Abuse or Neglect – Alert authorities if a cat is in danger or mistreated.
